Alvaro Gutierrez
Leadership
I am Alvaro Gutierrez, and I am honored to lead Voices Stockton with a deep commitment to student success, bilingual learning, and community empowerment. There is nothing more rewarding than working with young learners, and I am thrilled to do this work alongside our dedicated staff and families.
As a first-generation college graduate from an immigrant family, I understand the challenges many of our students and families face. Learning a new language and navigating unfamiliar systems has shaped my approach as an educator and leader. These experiences inspire me to advocate for equitable, culturally responsive practices that remove barriers and help every student thrive.
I am passionate about creating learning environments that are joyful, rigorous, and relevant. At Voices Stockton, students take ownership of their learning through hands-on projects and collaborative experiences, while their diverse backgrounds are recognized as strengths.
I lead with integrity, compassion, and collaboration, working alongside families and staff to build a thriving school community. Together, we foster academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and lifelong learning skills. Serving and supporting our community is a privilege, and I am committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
