The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce awarded Principal Juan Carlos Villasenor with the 2020 Educator of the Year award on November 22nd 2019 at Voices Morgan Hill. Principal Villasenor graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and a minor in Spanish Literature.
Juan Carlos Villasenor is the Founding Principal of Voices Morgan Hill. Before the school’s founding in 2015, he worked for Voices College-Bound Language Academies as a Spanish, Social Studies and bilingual teacher from 2010-2015. Principal Villasenor is a beloved member of the Voices Academies’ community.
The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce has their own Education Committee which stresses education and educational opportunities for the Morgan Hill area and the award selection process was overseen by the committee.
Principal Villasenor was not aware of the award and was dressed up for an all-school spirit day when he received it. Voices Academies is proud of his contributions to our students’ continued success and for creating a joyful culture of learning!
