Ms. Flores sees her work with Voices students, staff, and the parent/guardian community as a tremendous privilege to serve communities that are reminiscent of the community she grew up in and wants to ensure these communities are given opportunities to thrive. She sees her work as an extension of everything she values and believes in. In her spare time, Ms. Flores enjoys spending time with her family, especially her first grandson. She enjoys all kinds of music and loves to dance.
Deanna Flores
As the Chief Culture Officer of In Lak’Ech of Voices College-Bound Language Academies, Ms. Flores is responsible for Network-wide Staff, Student and Parent/Guardian Culture and ensures consistency and alignment of Network Mission, Vision and Core Values. This includes oversight of Network-wide Character Education Professional Development. Ms. Flores also oversees behavior management for the general student population across the Network and is responsible for behavior management training, coaching and guidance to school-based Deans of Cultures and Parent Liaisons. In addition, Ms Flores oversees the Development and Communication Team as well as the Talent Team.
Ms. Flores started at Voices in August of 2019 as the Founding Sr. Director of Culture and was promoted to Chief Culture Officer of In Lak’Ech in January 2022. Ms. Flores received her bachelor’s degree at Stanford University and has her credential as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist through Santa Clara County. Ms. Flores was originally drawn to Voices because she was born and raised in Santa Clara County and was the first in her family to attend a four-year University and understood the Voices Mission and Vision. Ms. Flores’ experience includes over 20 years of nonprofit experience including research and evidence-based Parent/Guardian education and prevention and early intervention. Ms. Flores’ previous experience also includes over 12 years of International Corporate Marketing and Communication experience.
