Your child’s path to university starts here!
Voices is recognized for beating the odds for historically underserved children. We offer a rigorous dual immersion language program focused on preparing every single one of our students to succeed at 4 year universities and in their life paths. Our results speak for themselves. Built on our core values of Si Se Puede Attitude, Scholarship, Activism and In Lak’ Ech, Voices’ students are receiving the highest quality education available. Thank you for your interest!

Q: How many grades does each school have?
A: Voices-Mount Pleasant and Voices-Morgan Hill opened in September of 2015 with grades TK (transitional kindergarten), Kinder and 1st. Both schools will grow by one grade each year to eventually be a TK (transitional kindergarten)-8th grade school. In 2016-17 both schools are TK (transitional kindergarten)-2nd grade. Voices-Flagship has grades K-8.
Q: What are the school hours?
A: Voices schedule is from 8:00- 4:00 for all students, all grades. This will ensure that student learning is extended through acceleration and enrichment opportunities.
Q: What percentage of each day is taught and learned in Spanish?
Q: Will there be childcare after school hours or afterschool programs available?
A: Voices-Flagship has an afterschool program for all grades from 4-7pm. Space is limited and not guaranteed.
Voices-Mount Pleasant and Voices-Morgan Hill are currently investigating options for afterschool programs, and the decision will be reflected on this site soon.
Q: Is there sibling preference?
A: Yes. Once you have a student at Voices, that student’s siblings have a guaranteed seat in the school if a space is available. In the meantime they are moved to the top of the waiting list.
Q: Is there tuition?
A: No. Voices is a tuition free public charter school.
Q: Are parents required to do volunteer hours?
A: No. At Voices, we strongly believe that parent involvement is key to student’s success.
However, no parent involvement plan shall require mandatory services from parents, and under no circumstances shall any student suffer any adverse consequences based upon a parent’s level of service or contribution to the school. There are many opportunities for parents to be involved at Voices, including: Parent Leadership Groups, Tutoring, Homework volunteer, Parenting classes, Parent information workshops, Advisory Representative and Parent Committees. We encourage and welcome parent engagement and leadership.
Q: How big are the classes?
A: Typical class size is 28 students with a teacher and associate teacher in classes.
